As part of our commitment to providing the best experience for our members, we have identified some pressing needs that require attention. Since the renovation in 2017, the chapter house has naturally experienced wear and tear, and equipment warranties are now expiring. Additionally, we are grappling with the impact of inflation, with costs escalating across various areas. Notably, insurance, our second-highest fixed cost, has surged by 41% over the past two years.

To address these challenges, the Housing Corporation has decided to implement a 7% increase in rent starting in fall 2024. While this adjustment is necessary, the Housing Corporation estimates that an additional $10,000 per year will be required to cover unforeseen repairs and maintain the high standard of our facilities.
